Hundreds of motorcycles, dune buggies, and cars came out for the Alee Shrine Pirate Poker Run on Sunday.

They are riding over 90 miles from Savannah to Richmond Hill to Tybee and all will collect cards at different stops to make up their poker hand.

Folks came out for food, games, and the chance to win cash prizes, all while supporting a good cause. This is their annual fundraiser for the Pirate Unit of the Temple.

“Oh it’s awesome. It just fills my heart and it’s just a great,” said Todd Reid, Poker Run Chairman. “I mean I love being a Shriner. I love the organization. I mean, I’ve only been in it for 5 years and I love it. It’s been the best thing I’ve ever done.”

All proceeds raised from the event will go towards the Shriners and their work with hospitals for children. The majority of the proceeds will go towards their roadrunner unit and costs in transporting kids to and from treatment.
